Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, Georgia

Dunwoody, Georgia, has long been known as one of the most desirable places to live in the state. Among some of the area’s most sought-after features is the sprawling Brook Run Park, which is a fixture of outdoor recreation here in the greater Atlanta area. Situated between the North and South branches of Peachtree Creek, Brook Run Park is a sprawling 47-acre green space featuring miles of trails for running, walking, and biking, an array of playgrounds and sports fields, a championship disc golf course, and much more. Information can be found here.

On the north side of the park, one finds the four-acre Richard D. Zupek Family Dog Park, an off-leash area for canines and their owners to stretch their legs. The doggy park is divided into a large main play area and a small, segregated area for small breeds. It also features plenty of exercise equipment, benches, a pavilion, and a walking/jogging path that accommodates even the most avid dog lovers. Moving into the center of the park, visitors will find playgrounds and sports fields to accommodate all ages and skill levels. Brook Run Park is home to two playgrounds with traditional play equipment, swings, slides, and more. It is also home to the city’s only full-size synthetic turf soccer field, which is the largest of its kind in the Atlanta metro area. The fields are also lighted for nighttime use, so parents and children alike can enjoy the activities for longer.
